HVAC Mechanical Engineer

Cummings Properties is looking for a skilled and motivated HVAC Mechanical Engineer to join our in-house Architectural/Engineering team in Woburn, MA. If you have 10+ years of experience and thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on, design/build environment, this is your opportunity to make an impact!

Primary responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our design, sustainability, purchasing, and construction teams to develop high-quality HVAC and piping systems.
  • Design and prepare fit-ups and whole building HVAC systems for a variety of commercial and laboratory spaces.
  • Assess and enhance existing HVAC systems for energy efficiency and performance.
  • Work on exciting projects, including new multi-story residential and commercial buildings and energy retrofits.
  • Sprinkler design experience? Even better!

Required qualifications:

  • Expertise in commercial and multi-family residential HVAC/mechanical systems - design, construction, and maintenance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
  • Excellent communication - graphic, written, and verbal.
  • A Massachusetts Mechanical Engineering license.
  • AutoCAD proficiency is preferred.
  • Ability to visit local project sites and access active construction areas, including roofs.

The annual salary range is $110,000 - $150,000 ,which is based on level of experience and range and depth of capabilities.

NOTE: Candidates must be able to work on site. This is not a remote or hybrid position.
