RETIREMENT OF
VERIZON COPPER PHONE LINES

As outlined in our September 13, 2022 Notice to Clients, Verizon is retiring its copper telephone lines across the country.

We understand that many client firms recently received notices from Verizon officially alerting them that their copper service (which may include services provided through third-party carriers that use Verizon’s copper lines) will be discontinued effective March 21, 2023.

If you received a notice from Verizon, you may wish to contact them directly to confirm that you currently have copper service, as we are uncertain as to the accuracy of their records. If you confirm that their information is correct, you will likely need to migrate some or all of your service to another carrier serving your building.

We are told that Comcast—which serves all Cummings buildings—is capable of transitioning your service at a similar cost to Verizon. You may reach Comcast directly by contacting Rob Centore at 617-312-4686 or Robert_CentoreJr@comcast.com. RCN, which has recently activated services in many Cummings buildings, may also be able to provide certain services. You may reach RCN by contacting Nathan Woodfall at 617-304-7966 or nathan.woodfall@astound.com.

Your building may also have service from other providers, including the following: · Crown Castle at 1-855-913-4237; · TowerStream at 866-848-5848; · ProSpeed.net at 888-425-7425; and · AT&T, contact Andrew Pollack at 414-581-5651.

If you have any questions, please contact Cummings’ operations counsel, Heather Lauten, at 781-569-2332 or hll@cummings.com, or your account manager.
