Greetings, and welcome to the latest Cummings Life Sciences Update.
The 11 million-square-foot Cummings portfolio is home to more than 100 life science firms, occupying nearly 1.8 million square feet of space from which to innovate. From dozens of startups launching in incubators and small laboratories to multinational organizations like Amgen, Corning, Medtronic, and United Therapeutics, these companies have selected the MassBio Platinum BioReady® Communities of Woburn and Beverly for their U.S. operations.
We hope you enjoy reading about our new developments, innovative work from client firms, and recent additions to our rapidly growing roster of health science companies. We encourage you to make new connections within this vibrant suburban life science community, and we invite our many client firms to enjoy this brief private publication once or twice each month.

Since joining the Cummings organization two years ago (and leaving a 45 minute downtown commute behind), I have met dozens of the startup and established companies that have chosen the north suburbs to grow their life science businesses. With such a robust ecosystem in both Woburn and Beverly, these clusters now rival several other more established regions.

Abundant innovation occurs well beyond Kendall Square and the Seaport district. Remarkable breakthroughs occur in our suburban communities, where every dollar saved on real estate can be invested in research and scientific advancement.

We hope our client firms will use this complimentary newsletter as a forum to connect with and learn from one another. We want to hear your good news, help you and your team members make new contacts, and build excitement about these fast-growing biotech communities.
