Cummings Properties has an immediate opening for a real estate attorney on its in-house team that drafts, reviews, and negotiates commercial leases. The position, located in Woburn, offers a rewarding career with myriad intellectual challenges and regular collaboration with senior management and company counsel. The ideal candidate will leverage sound judgment, creativity, passion to succeed, and problem-solving skills to facilitate the transactions that are vital to the business.

You Will:

  • Review and draft commercial leases and other corporate/real estate agreements.
  • Work closely with sales staff to ensure agreements reflect business goals, while simultaneously protecting the company’s financial/legal interests.
  • Provide sound advice regarding negotiation strategy and deal structure.
  • Contribute to a collective effort to improve the company’s preparation, review, negotiation, and processing of transactions.

Qualifications:

  • Law degree and 3+ years of practice experience. Must reside in the greater Woburn area.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating commercial leases and corporate transactions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; impeccable attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, organized, and responsive.
  • Demonstrated success collaborating with sales professionals in results-oriented environment.
  • Good business judgment; ability to balance business and legal risks.
