Lease Administrator

Woburn

Cummings Properties is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented problem solver to join its Woburn office as a lease administrator. The individual will be involved with the processing of commercial leases for Cummings Properties’ 80+ buildings in 11 Greater Boston communities. A candidate should have extraordinary organizational and communication skills, as well as the aptitude to work on a wide variety of projects simultaneously, often in a time-sensitive manner. S/he must also excel at follow-through and be highly accurate.

Key responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to:

  • Process initial leases, extensions, amendments, assignments, and other lease documents including entering the data from the legal document into the accounting system
    • This may require collaboration and conference with the Legal Dept to interpret lease provisions and ascertain mutual understanding of documentation
  • Calculate billing adjustments and entries needed to account for all lease documents and assist with periodic billing of additional items due under the lease
  • Work with the Design and Operations Departments regarding square footage changes in the buildings to update in the accounting system and address their effect on existing leases
  • Manage/Generate reports to Management and internal departments, including monthly occupancy, outstanding rent, etc.
  • Manage letters of credit required under the terms of the lease

Education and Experience

  • Undergraduate college degree
  • Commercial real estate, paralegal, and/or contract administration experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, Outlook, and Access
  • Prior use of MRI or other property accounting system a plus
