Cummings Properties, LLC, a commercial real estate development and management firm, seeks an attorney to join its legal team in Woburn (full-time, in person). The ideal candidate will have broad commercial real estate experience, including leasing and development, and will be eager to join an in-house team that drafts, reviews, and negotiates commercial contracts and collaborates regularly with senior management and sales staff. You Will:

  • Review and draft commercial contracts and agreements, including leases.
  • Work closely with sales staff to ensure agreements reflect business goals, while simultaneously protecting the company’s financial/legal interests.
  • Provide sound advice regarding negotiation strategy and deal structure.
  • Contribute to a collective effort to improve the company’s preparation, review, negotiation, and processing of transactions.

Qualifications:

  • Law degree and 4+ years of practice experience. Must be a member in good standing of the Massachusetts Bar.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and assisting in consummating corporate transactions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, organized, and responsive.
  • Demonstrated success collaborating with sales professionals.
  • Good business judgment; ability to balance business and legal risks.
