Diesel Mechanic

Cummings Properties is looking for a motivated Diesel Mechanic with a minimum of five years experience. Fluency in English and a sound understanding of written English are required. Full-time opening with competitive pay and benefits including a 401(k) plan. Applicant must reside in the greater Beverly area.

Knowledge, skill, abilities:

  • Preventive maintenance/ repairs in a safe, efficient, timely and cost effective manner.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment failures.
  • Repairing and maintaining diesel and gasoline engines.
  • Adjusting and repairing ignition, fuel, electrical, hydraulic, and air systems.
  • Maintaining and repairing chassis, frames and bodies; welding (Oxy/ Acetglene, ARC).
  • Working with hoisting and jacking equipment, power tools, measuring instruments, gauges and meters.
  • Familiar with medium/ light duty trucks and machinery (loaders, skidstreers, backhoes, aerial lifts, forklifts).
  • Maintaining and repairing tires, batteries, brakes, transmissions and emission systems.
  • Assist with facility maintenance and repairs.
  • Performing shop management functions such as maintenance scheduling and spare parts inventory control.
  • Driver’s License (Required), CDL Class B (Preferred)
