Design Team Administrator

Woburn

Cummings Properties is seeking an Administrator to join our 20-person Design Department. The Design Department at Cummings Properties is part architectural firm, part graphic design studio, and part engineering office (http://www.cummingsproperties.com/design.htm). The twenty team members represent architecture, interior design, construction management, graphic, and web design - even mechanical and structural engineering. We design and manage nearly everything from websites to major commercial buildings.

Applicant should have a broad administrative skill set. Familiarity with graphic design, architecture, facilities, or construction is preferred. This high visibility, fast-paced position requires accurate technical proficiency, an upbeat professional attitude, and the ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality. Preference will be given to qualified candidates that live in or near Woburn.

About You and the Position:
Qualified applicants should be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and be willing to jump in to help bring projects to completion. Specific job responsibilities include:

  • Maintain and improve Design Department administrative and filing systems and documents.
  • Update databases and spreadsheet reports to keep projects on track.
  • Initiate work orders, purchase orders, and service calls in database systems.
  • Prepare and edit Word, Excel, Google, and database documents.
  • Track department schedules including events, holidays, vacations, etc.
  • Plan department team-building, social, and educational events.
  • Help manage internal large format printing, color copier and scanner systems.
  • Help order printed project documents (plans, specifications, etc.)
  • Autocad, Revit, or Bluebeam experience a plus
