A special Touch-a-Truck day is typically held at West Cummings Park on Washington Street in Woburn on the second Sunday of May in odd-numbered years.

Several thousand children and adults scamper around, and sometimes into, a wide variety of emergency and public service vehicles, as well as construction equipment and contractors' vehicles of all sorts. Hours are usually from 10 AM until 2 PM.

This fun community event is free for attendees and vehicle exhibitors, as well as food product manufacturers, who often use the opportunity to provide complimentary samples.

  • Experience more than 50 fire, police, and construction vehicles.

  • Public safety demonstrations, including the "Jaws of Life."

  • Food and beverages will be available.

  • Rain or shine.
