Cummings Properties Media Release

Woburn, Mass.-Woburn native Matthew Donaghey, of Thistle Road, Woburn, has joined the management team of Cummings Properties, 200 West Cummings Park, as special projects officer.

A 2001 graduate of Woburn Memorial High School, Donaghey earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Northeastern University in 2005. Donaghey's interest in commercial real estate began in college, where he became actively involved in both the Greater Boston Real Estate Finance Association and the Urban Land Institute of Boston.

Donaghey has deep roots within the Woburn community. Throughout high school and college, he worked for the S.G. Torrice Co., a local firm based in Woburn for over 25 years. Donaghey has also been involved in Woburn Little Leauge baseball for over 10 years in a variety of roles, including director. For the past five years, Donaghey has been coaching the Woburn Little League Cardinals.

As special projects officer for Cummings Properties, Donaghey will focus on the ongoing development and leasing of Trade Center 128. One section of that major new complex on Sylvan Road is expected to be turned over to the Commonwealth by December 31, and will house the Middlesex Superior Court, which is expected to relocate from Cambridge in March or April.

Before joining Cummings, Donaghey was an associate in the corporate real estate division of Fidelity Investments. He was also a member of the United States Marine Corps Reserve where he served on active duty in North Carolina, California, and Djibouti, Africa.

Donaghey's immediate supervisor at Cummings is Leasing Vice President Eric Anderson, another former Marine Reservist and Woburn resident, and himself a veteran of the Iraq War. Anderson noted that in addition to working actively on leasing the large new Trade Center 128 office building, Donaghey will be a liaison to nearby residential and business neighbors as Trade Center 128 moves toward welcoming its first occupants next spring.

"Matt is a lifelong Woburnite who is delighted to be working in his hometown in an important managerial role," said Anderson. "As the Trade Center 128 development moves forward, Matt will be actively involved in all phases of its completion."
