The Real Deal

• Promethean Surgical Devices, a medical devices firm, has leased 7,500 square feet of office and laboratory space with Cummings Properties at 3 Gill St. in Woburn. The building also houses Cummings Properties’ Emerging Technology Center, a high tech lab incubator featuring small, fully built-out lab spaces.

Promethean develops and supplies medical polymers for minimally invasive surgical procedures. The company was founded in 1999 and has recently combined manufacturing and operations with its relocation to the Gill Street complex.

“The sense of community, location, overall appealing features of the space and the flexibility to turn the space over quickly to specifically fit our growing needs were fundamental to our move and partnering with the folks at Cummings Properties,” said Joe Estock, vice president of Promethean, in a statement.
