Cummings
Properties has received Gold Level LEED pre-certification from the U.S.
Green Building Council for its TradeCenter 128 office complex.
The complex is located
in Woburn, Mass., and is a seven-story, 400,000-square-foot office building
nearing completion. The building, which is visible from Route 128/95 is
next to a new 139,000-square-foot Middlesex County Superior Court which
openes at 200 TradeCenter 128 about March 17, 2008.
LEED Certification
(Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) provides independent,
third-party verification that a building project meets the highest green
building and performance measures. In addition to meeting the criteria
for LEED certification, including site development, water savings, energy
efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality, TradeCenter
128 includes features such as efficient HVAC and lighting systems, high-performance
glass, water-saving fixtures, rainwater storage, construction materials
made from high levels of recycled materials, construction waste recycling
and building recycling programs.
