BioTrove pens marketing deal with California firm

BioTrove Inc., a Woburn maker of life sciences research products, reports it has struck of co-marketing deal with a California company.

Agilent Technologies Inc., of Santa Clara, Calif., and BioTrove plan to co-market Agilent's 6410 Triple Quadrupole mass spectrometer with BioTrove's RapidFire high-throughput sample preparation systems. The firms report the combined systems would be used to enhance the speed of laboratory tests in drug research.

Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.

BioTrove is a privately held firm that offers two technology platforms, including the RapidFire systems and its OpenArray tools used in genomic research for science-related industries.
