11/18/2003 10:29 AM

Boston Communications Group Inc. today announced it will deploy BCGI Prepaid Wireless in Nigeria for Nigerian Mobile Telecommunications Ltd. (M-Tel).

BCGI's Prepaid Wireless solution will be integrated directly to M-Tel's Sentori Billing and Customer Care system, providing a single product catalog and point-of-sale interface.

BCGI Prepaid Wireless uses proprietary software applications to enable real-time event management for voice and data, event control and rating, as well as support for features such as two-way text messaging, data services and web-based customer care tools.

"M-Tel is taking the right step toward competitive advantage by focusing on customer satisfaction and maximizing profits," said Bill Hampton, vice president of systems for BCGI, in a statement. "Utilizing BCGI's real-time subscriber management solution with the Sentori system will help the carrier streamline operations and retain customers longer, enabling M-Tel to achieve its goals."

Boston Communications Group stock opened at $8.50, up 4 cents from yesterday’s close.
